National Unity Party (UBP) MP and President of Cyprus Health Tourism Council Ahmet Savaşan, The Famagusta Vocational High School made a statement on its social media account regarding the murder of 16-year-old Zehie Helin Reessur, an 11th grade student at Famagusta Vocational High School.
Savaşan said, “We are deeply saddened to lose another young person to murder. This murder cannot be explained in any way!”.
“This murder should be the last, it should be a lesson for all of us,” Savaşan said and continued his statement as follows:
“We have to eliminate the source of tensions in society, raise our children and young people to respect the rights of others, especially the right to life, and create a social order in which they can live with this respect.“
Savaşan said, “Our pain is very great; we are very, very sad. But sadness is not enough! Every day, every minute that passes is working against us; we must get to work before it is too late to take the necessary measures by evaluating social problems with scientific methods!”.
